Accountability For Clergy
Sponsored Review:
Accountability is a real hot-bed issue these days in the clergy, as in life. We have all seen the sins of the fallen shown brightly on our t.v., radio, and print.
Pastors are ultimately responsible to God. It will be when those pastors meet their Saviour on judgment day that we who teach will be judged more strictly and not now, when often they try to impress themselves and others with what they have been able to do with their God given gifts. They will have to respond whether the work to which they have been tasked with, has been up to standard to Almighty God. I pray daily you will seek the will of the Lord and aim to do his will for the churches you serve.
Today’s world also demands that a church have accountability to its flock. This includes financial as well as ethical guidelines. This is where Rudy Kehler comes in. His website: http://www.take-care.ca has taken up the task of creating resource books, templates, and policy wordings in order to address these needs. This website will help anyone in a care organization help put in place the necessary resources to satisfy the flock and insurance companies of today’s world.
Also, we should not be afraid of calling those to account and making sure they are doing their job for the church through the use of measured performance management systems.
