A Prayer For God's Guidance

Dear Heavenly Father

I thank you for being a caring Father,

I thank you that your eyes watches over me and your ears are open to my prayers,

When morning arrives and I begin my daily routine,

I feel much better about things because you are with me.

Please stay at my side in the coming hours, leading me in all I do and say.

I ask for your loving guidance in each matter.

Let me go through this day with joy and peace in my heart, Lord.

And may I be ever mindful that you are near to watch over me.

May I continue to walk in your love, grace and power.

May my life continue to be a blessing unto others this day. Amen.

Our Prayer for Judges

For our judges, we ask God, that you will instill in them a reverence and respect for You and the life You created on this earth. Help them to judge righteously, and to defend the rights of the afflicted and the needy. Help them to interpret the law, rather than to make the law. Turn the judiciary back, O God, to their duty of protecting the Constitution, by interpreting it as our founding fathers meant it, not according to the whims of society today.

Father, there are dozens of vacant judgeships in the Federal court system because of delays in the U.S. Senate. We ask that You bring an end to those delays and let the full Senate vote on the nominations quickly. Please give wisdom to our Senators as they carefully consider the qualifications and wisdom of the nominees.

A Deep Prayer Of Forgiveness To The Father

Forgive us O Lord God

Spare us from misfortune and forgive us

Forgive us for the times we have shunned You

Spare us from Thy wrath and forgive us

Forgive us for the times we have worshipped others and false gods

Spare us from Thy anger and forgive us

Forgive us for the times we have not turned away from sin and evil

Spare us from Thy wrath and forgive us

Forgive us for the times we have ignored our brethren in plight

Spare us from Thy anger and forgive us

Forgive us for the many times we have not listened to Thy Word

Spare us from Thy wrath and forgive us

Forgive us for the times we have not believed in You, Your Son and the Word

Spare us from Thy wrath and forgive us

Forgive us for the times the Church has closed its eyes and heart to the broken hearted and needy

Spare us from Thy anger and forgive us

Forgive us for all our sins both knowing and unknowing

Spare us from Thy wrath and forgive us

Forgive us for all the time we waste in temporal pleasures and things that are not good for our soul

Spare us from Thy anger and forgive us

Forgive us for all the time we hate, have anger, bitterness and vile thoughts

Spare us from Thy wrath and forgive us

Forgive us for all the times we gossip, waste in idle chatter and things not becoming of children of the Light

Spare us from Thy anger and forgive us

Forgive us for all the times we blaspheme Your Name, disrespect the Mother of our Lord Jesus and are against Your will

Spare us from Thy wrath and forgive us

Forgive us for all the times we are proud, over zealous in our ways, anxious about foolish things and sold ourselves to sin or to the evil one

Spare us from Thy anger and forgive us

Amen.

Accountability For Clergy

Sponsored Review:

Accountability is a real hot-bed issue these days in the clergy, as in life. We have all seen the sins of the fallen shown brightly on our t.v., radio, and print.

Pastors are ultimately responsible to God. It will be when those pastors meet their Saviour on judgment day that we who teach will be judged more strictly and not now, when often they try to impress themselves and others with what they have been able to do with their God given gifts. They will have to respond whether the work to which they have been tasked with, has been up to standard to Almighty God. I pray daily you will seek the will of the Lord and aim to do his will for the churches you serve.

Today’s world also demands that a church have accountability to its flock. This includes financial as well as ethical guidelines. This is where Rudy Kehler comes in. His website: http://www.take-care.ca has taken up the task of creating resource books, templates, and policy wordings in order to address these needs. This website will help anyone in a care organization help put in place the necessary resources to satisfy the flock and insurance companies of today’s world.

Also, we should not be afraid of calling those to account and making sure they are doing their job for the church through the use of measured performance management systems.

Praying the Scriptures

Lord, once more You remind us that sometimes sickness is so that God's glory may be shown, rather than because of a person's sin. Thank You for that reminder! When I am sick, let me examine myself to identify any un-confessed sin. If there is none, let me not continue to look for some hidden sin, but let me remember that God sometimes allows sickness so that His glory may be seen.

Lord, help me to work while there is yet light, for the time is coming when darkness will overtake me and I, too, will "sleep". There is much work to be done on this earth. Help me, Lord, to do the works God created in advance for me to do.

O Lord Jesus, how hard it must have been for You to wait, knowing the grief Mary and Martha would be experiencing. But because You waited in accordance with Your Father's will, what an awesome opportunity You had to show the glory of God!

Lord, like me, there was much that Thomas did not understand, but he was, nevertheless, loyal to You. Help me to be loyal enough to both die for You and to live for You.

Yes, Lord, I also believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who came into this world to save mankind.

Lord Jesus, was Mary angry with You? How often do we blame God when seemingly bad things happen? Help me to remember, Lord, that God loves me and seeks only my good. When difficult times come, remind me that You are with me always and that You will bring me through the difficult times if I just hang onto You and fix my eyes upon You.

Lord, people remember verse 35 as the shortest verse in the Bible, but it is much more than that. It is evidence that You know what grief feels like. You know what it is like to lose a loved one. Help me, Lord, to remember, when I experience grief, that not only are You with me, but that You have been there. You are not sympathizing; You are empathizing. Remind me, also, that Your Father knows what it's like to have a Son die. I still don't understand that, Lord. I will never understand, as long as I am on this earth, how God could decree Your death or how You could submit to His will and give up Your life. I don't understand, but I am very grateful.

Oh, what a glorious day that was, when You raised Lazarus from the dead! I can imagine the people watching in disbelief and then gradually realizing that they really had seen a dead man come to life. How could they not believe that You are the Messiah!

O Lord, I read these verses about the Pharisees and other disbelieving Jews and I want to scream, "Stop! Don't you understand? How can you be so blind? Do you not see that Jesus is the Messiah you have been waiting for all these years?" But, it would have done no good. Even today, people don't see, or won't see.

O God, how can I ever thank You for opening my eyes, for revealing Yourself to me through the Bible and Your Son, for sending Your Spirit to teach me. How much longer will You let this world continue down the path of self-destruction before You send Jesus back and restore all things? God, I don't know how everything is going to come to pass at the end of the age. There are many debates over what various passages in the Bible mean, but the important thing is that You are sending Jesus back and Judgment Day is coming for the unsaved of this world. Knowing that, Father, renew in me a burning desire to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with everyone You send my way. Here am I, God; use me, please. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

A Prayer For Someone Who Is Going Thru A Rough Patch

I was recently asked to take a look at and review the website Memoirs of a Sojourner. Each of us goes through our own individual struggles and tribulations. This blog discusses many different Faith-based ideals and I thought it worth our attention. This blog has many links to worthy areas of interest to anyone of Faith. I look forward to the continued success of this Holy endeavor.

Below is a prayer for David Woon and his father regarding their recent suffering. I pray that it finds them well, and that it may in turn help others who are suffering.

Our Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit

I ask for strength and patience for Your sons who are reading this

I ask for courage and acceptance for the next years ahead

I ask for Your comfort and love to fill them to overflowing

I ask for Your  mercy and grace to encompass them

I ask for Your tranquility to fill them from head to toe

I ask for Your influence to fill them from within and without

I ask for Your Holy Spirit to inundate them with Your existence

Keep them persistent in You O Lord

Be their rock and strong citadel thru the days ahead

May they just recognize You are with them

Help them in their requests O Lord

Praise You amen.

Why go to another when He's Available?

Lord Jesus I come to You to be renewed

Lord Jesus I come to You to be disciplined

Lord Jesus I come to You to be obedient

Lord Jesus I come to You to be pruned

Lord Jesus I come to You for direction

Lord Jesus I come to You for council

Lord Jesus I come to You for assistance

Lord Jesus I come to You for healing

Lord Jesus I come to You for a change in my circumstances

Lord Jesus I come to You for a change in this world

I will only come to You O Lord Jesus

And to the Father and Holy Spirit who lives within You amen
